12.12.05

The construction on the Wrigley Field bleachers continues. It's been a long December and there's reasons to believe maybe this year will be better than the last.

Two nights after the snow storm, and the stoop in front of our place is still buried. Posted by Picasa

Storm!

The first big snow storm of the year.

"They" had predicted a mild winter because of the warm summer and fall we'd had. "They" were wrong. Posted by Picasa

Underground

11.22.05

I spend a decent amount of time using public transportation (I don't think there's a conspiracy against PT, just flagrant stupidity and mismanagement...but don't get me started on the state of the CTA). Usually, I prefer to take the bus, staying above ground and watching the city roll past at street level.

But with the weather turning colder I've been moving underground.

This is the station at Clark and Division. Inviting, isn't it. Posted by Picasa

Holiday Train

11.18.05

Every year the CTA dresses up one of their trains and sends it around the city spreading holiday cheer. Don't tell Bill O'Reilly they call it a holiday train instaead of a "Christmas" train. He might have a stroke. On second thought, maybe someone should tell him.

It's a pretty train though. Posted by Picasa
