A shopping cart on Division St. near Damen is filled with scrap metal and old cans.

9.13.05

Chicago's flag flaps vigorously above the Michigan Avenue bridge.

Polished Cloud (Gate)

9.12.05

The recently polished Cloud Gate has finally been revealed. Seriously, it's impossible to take a bad picture of this amazing piece of public art.

Another Monday

9.05.05

I'm at the bar...it must be Monday...and another night at work.

Crossing Over

9.04.05

Walking home from the concert we crossed over the recently rehabbed Roosevelt Ave. overpass. I hadn't realized, but the Sears Tower has managed to work its way into a lot of pictures this year. I guess the tallest building in the world will end up in a couple of pictures (if you take enough) from around Chicago.

Sing!

9.03.05

Silvertide lead singer Walt Lafty jumped into the crowd while opening for Def Leppard at the Loop's (97.9 fm) Rockfest 2005, amusing some fans, surprising others.

Marina in the Sky

9.02.05

Marina Towers, looking like a ginat hair-roller (or maybe a corn cob) with ample parking.

Skyscraper

9.01.05

It's finally September. This summer has seemingly gone on for years.

I've had to spend some time in the south loop lately (mostly getting lost) and while I know it's supposed to be the new "hot" area, there's no way I could see myself living there.

Snack Time

8.31.05

I'm a junkie. I love candy. But lately, as I've stood in the aisle and stared at the wrappers wondering what to buy, I've been overcome by a feeling of ambivalence. Maybe my sweet tooth is dying. Or maybe I'm finally starting to eat like a grownup.
